To kick off the 28 Days of Free Literacy Resources, Ideas, and Tools the ladies from Right to the Core brought us this great idea: An Alphabet Museum!
Here is how they describe this project:
Your kindergarteners will love to be docents of their own Alphabet
Museum! We use the first 26 days of kindergarten to introduce or review
the letters of the alphabet before we begin our reading program and
revisit each letter. As letter names and sounds are introduced, students
will create works of art according to each. They might make Apple
prints for the letter A or cover a paper letter D with Dots. We save
student work to display in an Alphabet Museum in our school’s library or
foyer and organize the museum from A to Z, displaying student work for
each letter.
Again, this great idea of an alphabet museum came from the ladies at Right to the Core. You can also find them on TPT at here.
